Position Summary: This position is based in the Department of Oral and Craniofacial Health Sciences of the UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and under the supervision of Kimon Divaris, DDS, PhD Associate Professor. The Research Associate is responsible for the management and coordination of research projects in the field of pediatric oral health. Current funding supports this position at FTE 1 through the Genome-wide association study of early childhood caries-Genes for Smiles study (RAMSeS project ID: 5102631, project number: A16-0434).

Education Requirements: Master's degree in business administration, public health or a related discipline with at least ten years of experience coordinating or directing major research projects, or a doctoral level degree with at least five years of similar experience.

Qualification and Experience: Proposal preparation for public and private funding agencies, experience in study design, data collection techniques, data management, analysis, report preparation, excellent computer skills, proficiency in MS Excel and Access. Experience in planning and conducting population or clinical-based research; familiarity working with community groups; excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent public presentation skills. References are required.
