The initial appointment will be for one year, with renewal contingent on continued funding and satisfactory performance. A PhD in Physics, Astrophysics, or a related area is required. The successful candidate's research will focus on topics related to gravitational physics. This could include studies of astrophysical sources of gravitational waves and their possible electromagnetic counterparts, black hole formation, high speed black hole collisions, the nature of singularities, early universe cosmology, and gravity in higher dimensions.
