Requisition Title: Assistant Professor - Economic Analysis & Policy - 1800563

The Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto invites applications from qualified individuals for a full-time tenure-stream appointment in the Economic Analysis and Policy area with a specialty in both Behavioral Economic Theory and Game Theory. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2018.

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Economics by the time of appointment and demonstrated excellence in research in the field of Behavioral Economic Theory and in the field of Game Theory, as well as excellence in teaching. They will be expected to mount an innovative and externally funded research program at the highest international level. The position comes with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities, including courses in Economics.

Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in research of the highest international caliber, demonstrated by an innovative job market paper with a significant contribution to the literature, published papers in high quality peer-reviewed journals in Economics, and a research pipeline that is at high international levels, as well as strong recommendations by referees of high international standing. Further support can be provided by high quality working papers, presentations at significant conferences, accolades, or awards. Papers should demonstrate research into both Behavioral Economic Theory and Game Theory.

Candidates must provide evidence of excellence in teaching with previous experience teaching in a peer research university, including teaching undergraduate courses and graduate courses specifically at the Ph.D. level. Excellence in teaching can be demonstrated by teaching accomplishments, teaching statement, and teaching dossier submitted as part of the application as well as strong endorsements from referees.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
