Visiting Instructor Sport Management
The Citadel (the Military College of South Carolina) Department of Health, Exercise & Sport Science is seeking applications for a one-year Visiting Instructor position that begins August 2018. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree in sport management or related field by time of appointment.
The Citadel, the School of Science and Mathematics, and the Department of Health and Human Performance are committed to excellence in teaching; in addition, professional activity in service is expected. Teaching responsibilities in the undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.A.) sport management programs may include sport management courses related to communications, research methods, advertising, sport communications, sport sales, public relations and promotions, economics and finance of sport, and event and facility management. Total teaching assignments for Visiting Instructors is 15 credit hours/semester. Research opportunities within and beyond the department and the institution, if instructor is interested, are available through a host of sport organizations in the area. Service may include advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, departmental and college committee assignments, and supervising practica and internships.
