We invite candidates to apply for our Maintenance Supervisor position located in South Lake (Clermont, FL). The Supervisor will be responsible for planning and ensuring daily completion of routine operational functions of buildings and grounds including periodic inspections of facilities to determine condition; diagnoses of problems and initiation of necessary action, ensuring that safety standards and regulations are observed. In addition, the Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership in the daily activities of the Facilities Department and will develop and administer performance evaluations for assigned staff. The Supervisor will create reports for project planning, deferred maintenance needs, and activity reports as assigned. Additionally, will develop performance evaluations for assigned staff. The Supervisor will serve as liaison with service contract providers such as landscaping and grounds, security, and housekeeping contractors. This position may require lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds, and less frequently up to 50 pounds. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s core value of Service Excellence; respect, competence, responsiveness, and collaboration, in all interactions.

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency
Diploma. Preferred completion of a vocational trade training or possess a two-year degree. EPA 608
Universal Certification
EXPERIENCE: Five years’ required experience (preferred eight years) in providing building maintenance or general building repair services at the institutional or similar level including a minimum of (3) year supervision of maintenance workers.
