Assistant Director of Prospect Research
Gettysburg College is seeking an experienced professional for a full-time position as the Assistant Director of Prospect Research. The Assistant Director of Prospect Research reports to the Assistant Vice President for Advancement Systems and Research as part of the Development, Alumni and Parent Relations division of Gettysburg College. The Assistant Director is responsible for conducting the identification, qualification, and tracking of prospects for financial support and partners with development officers on prospect strategy and priorities. The Assistant Director analyzes data and prepares reports and briefing documents that assist colleagues within the division and, where appropriate, within the College at large, in support of the division’s mission. This position is responsible for researching and identifying parent prospects and overseeing moves management and qualification of parent prospects by frontline fundraisers. This position prepares reports of a sensitive nature for the College President, trustees, and the Vice President of Development, Alumni and Parent Relations. Occasional attendance and support of division events outside of normal work hours is expected.
An Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated understanding of prospect research and prospect management processes and methodologies in a fundraising environment or related experience in fundraising, library/information sciences, or financial or legal research.
