RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: Primary responsibility: conduct goal-oriented experiments. Experiments will be designed by the Principal Investigator or senior lab personnel, but the Research Specialist A is expected to modify/troubleshoot procedures, assist in planning the protocol, and report progress to the PI. The Research Specialist A will also keep accurate notebooks, perform data analysis, including help with coding and computational work, assist in publication preparation. Secondary responsibility: general laboratory maintenance, ordering supplies and equipment, making solutions, assist in the care and maintenance of fruit flies, prepare DNA, run PCR reactions and gel electrophoresis.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1yr of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
