The position performs administrative functions (including secretarial) functions and general office work supporting the DNP Program in Nursing. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of the DNP Program, Department of Nursing.
This position is partially funded by non-university funds. Position continuation is contingent upon extension of a funding source.
Responsible for correspondence supporting the DNP program and students, including, but not limited to letters, as well as, course descriptions, course syllabi, and meeting minutes. Responsible for answering the telephone, ordering office supplies and equipment, and maintaining student records. Coordination of interviews with potential DNP student applicants. Ongoing communication with DNP students related to progression, retention, program requirements, policies, check sheets, and self-registration. Monitors and updates advisor lists in Patriot and master spreadsheet. Responsible for keeping records for the program administrators and working with other staff to track development and operations related expenditures and records to support program, regulatory and accreditation requirements; assists in collecting data relative to the program and completing reports to external agencies. Responsible for arranging meetings, conferences, annual DNP dinner, workshops, immersion weekend, graduation activities, and other nursing related activities. Works with DNP Program Director, DNP faculty, and graduate students to coordinate clinical practicum sites; has contact with various businesses/agencies and represents the University in coordination of this effort. Tracks and maintains required clinical contracts and documentation of clinical credential requirements for placement with preceptors. All other duties as required.
Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
