Description of Position
The Drama Department at CCC is looking for part-time instructors to become part of our "ongoing" adjunct pool. We are looking for people who are qualified to teach theatre classes, as well as become musical theatre directors for our musical productions, costume designers, and technical theatre specialist.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
Master€™s or Master of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/ performance


Bachelor€™s or Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama/theater arts/performance


Master€™s in comparative literature, English, communication studies, speech, literature or humanities

OR the equivalent. (If you do not possess the listed degrees, you must complete the equivalency from provided in the online application)

Desirable Qualifications
€¢ At least two years of experience in teaching at college/university level.
€¢ Substantial experience as directors/actors/technical theatre designers/choreographers.
€¢ Be available to students for scheduled lab work times.
€¢ Maintain confidentiality regarding students and colleagues.
€¢ Professional experience working/teaching with a diverse student population.
€¢ Have an ability to communicate effectively and collaborate well with other theatre artist.
€¢ Ability to accept and assume responsibility, deal effectively with problems and exercise independently judgement when making decisions.
€¢ Establish and maintain good working relationships with students, colleagues, staff, administrators and other contacts.
€¢ Possess strong human relations skills and the ability to effectively relate to diverse personalities.
€¢ Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
