Electronic Resources Librarian
Electronic Resources Librarian Library of the University of California, Davis The Library of the University of California, Davis, seeks a creative, forward-looking, collaborative, and service-oriented Electronic Resources Librarian. The position reports to the Head of Content Support Services Department and has a leading role in the workflows that establish and maintain discovery of and access to the library’s electronic resources licensed locally and consortially through the California Digital Library (CDL). The position has a supporting role in ensuring the integrated discovery and access across internal and external resources, including content from adjacent systems such as the library course reserves system and digital asset management system. In addition, the position serves as the library’s primary contact with CDL, vendors and publishers, and library personnel regarding discovery and access issues associated with the library’s licensed electronic resources. As a key member of a cross-unit electronic resources management team, the position coordinates with various units for managing electronic resources in such functions as acquisitions, cataloging, collections development, and user services. The position is also expected to play an active role in library’s e-resource related training, projects and initiatives. As a member of the profession, the position takes advantage of opportunities to assess adequacy of and advocate for the improvement of the standards used in the library’s work.
Salary: Assistant Librarian to Associate Librarian ($49,165-$69,550) (Appointment rank and salary based on qualifications and experience.)
