Posting Information: The primary purpose of the position is to provide daily supervision and project coordination for four freshman admission counselors. The position will collaborate with other admission colleagues to provide training and guidance on freshman admission issues and policies for the four freshman counselors and to provide training and guidance on the recruitment of freshman student populations. The position also will be responsible for providing counseling and advising to prospective freshman and transfer students, conducting recruitment travel to high schools, rendering admission decisions, and freshman strategic plan initiatives. This position will also help coordinate regular campus and group tour visits associated with freshman students as necessary. Provide training assistance in relation to freshman students for student tour guides. This position will also travel extensively during certain times of the year to represent the Undergraduate Admission Office at various events, including some weekend and evenings as required.

Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience related to recruitment or marketing is preferred, particularly experience related to freshman student recruitment. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are vital to this role. Strong critical thinking and project management skills are important. Attention to deadlines and details are essential. Duties of this position relate to Admission Office staff management and supervision as well as marketing practices directly related to the University's Strategic Plan. Must be eligible for and/or possess a valid North Carolina driver license. Must be able to lift and/or move medium to heavy objects when setting up recruiting events.
