Minimum Education/Experience: PhD in biomedical, civil, electrical, environmental, industrial, mechanical, ocean, or systems engineering, or closely related disciplines. Candidates for associate or full professor ranks must have a strong record of grant-funded research and scholarly publications. All degrees must be conferred from a regionally accredited institution.

Job Duties: The Department of Engineering at East Carolina University (http://www.engineering.ecu.edu) seeks candidates for multiple tenure-track faculty positions (assistant, associate, or full professor) in the priority areas of (1) biomaterials and/or biomechanics, (2) coastal infrastructure, sustainability, and/or energy, and (3) big data analytics. Candidates must be willing to collaborate in multi-disciplinary research teams aligned with these priority areas. Moreover, they are expected to play leadership roles in the future development of research and academic degree programs in these priority areas.
