Assistant Professor/Instructor of Sport Management
Tusculum is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Professor/Instructor of Sport Management. This is a full-time faculty position with primary responsibilities in teaching Sport Management courses in the Sport Studies department, service to Tusculum and the community, and scholarly/professional development. Additional responsibilities include coordination of internships for sport studies students, student advising, and assisting the department chair and school of education dean. Faculty members are to be committed to excellence in teaching. Faculty members are expected to contribute toward the good of the Tusculum through the maintenance of expertise in the discipline, and sharing time and talents with the larger Tusculum community.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants should possess a Master's degree in a Sport Management related field; terminal degree preferred. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; the ability to work independently and collaboratively and make value judgments; the ability to exhibit a high degree of tact, energy, and resourcefulness in dealing with a variety of situations and people. Working knowledge of business software and Microsoft Office is required.
