Description of Position
This is an academic position within the Art Department, at Diablo Valley College, in Pleasant Hill, California. We are currently looking for an instructor to teach Art 106; Drawing II for the Spring 2018 semester. We are also looking for instructors for our general substitute pool for studio art with an expertise in Color Theory, Drawing, Painting, Foundations, or Sculpture. Successful applicants for the sub pool will be able to teach one or more of the following courses:
Art 101 Introduction to 2-D Design
Art 103 Color Theory
Art 105 Drawing I
Art 106 Drawing II
Art 126 Painting I
Art 102 Introduction to 3-D Design and Sculpture
Art 138 Sculpture I

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
Master's in Fine Arts, Art, or Art History;

OR

Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in humanities;

OR

The equivalent. (If you do not possess the exact listed degree, you must complete an equivalency form provided when applying online.)

We are looking to fill a 5 month position for the Spring semester, as well as a general pool of adjunct faculty for substitutes and future teaching positions.

Include a portfolio of 15 images of work with an image list. Portfolio should include 2-D or 3-D art practice images that reflect commitment to 2-D or 3-D art practice. For the Required Documents, you can upload these images using the "Other" in the Applicant Documents section.
