Supervise and evaluate Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, Secondary Education, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education,or K-12 Art, Music, P.E. teacher licensure candidates in student teaching assignments; attend University Supervisors’ Training; conduct 10 hours of regularly scheduled student teaching seminars; make a minimum of 8 site visits over the 16 week placement, and guide and evaluate students throughout the required Teacher Work Sample. Will work and interact with diverse groups of individuals. You can access the Student Teaching Handbook on the Student Teaching website.

An affiliate faculty member’s duties include: meeting assigned classes or delivering on-line content consistent with university, college/school, and department policies; providing instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, with department course coordination policies; being available, either face to face or electronically, to students in assigned classes to provide additional academic support as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment; and complying with University-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in education or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s plus 30 semester hours of relevant post-degree study; teaching experience in elementary or secondary, public or private school settings; licensure in supervision content area; and teacher supervision experience.
