Duties: The Staff Assistant C will support the Chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate all aspects of Faculty Affairs (recruitment, appointment, reappointment, promotion, secondary appointment, adjunct, and sabbatical; track faculties' scholarly research activities, contribution to the teaching mission and service including guiding through annual self-evaluation process; serve as Program Coordinator for multi-investigator grant applications and funded Programmatic Research efforts; serve as Department based shared resource facilities administrator; liaise with Dean's office, Vice Deans for Finance and Research offices and development office; handle confidential information with a high degree of professional discretion; proactively manage the day-to-day activities of the Chair and the administrative staff and serve as supervisor of entire administrative staff of the department; provide graphics and desktop publishing capabilities for departmental publications and multi-media communications; coordinate interactions of department and faculty with industry partners; manage a complex calendar; make domestic and international travel/meeting/event arrangements and process reimbursements through Concur; prepare, track, and process paperwork for foreign nationals for submission to International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS); organize seminars and events for Department; provide back-up support to the other administrative roles in the Department through processing department orders and lab orders through Ben Financials, course related tasks, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
