Minimum Education/Experience: Must have a MD from an appropriately accredited institution. Must have completed at least a three-year Internal Medicine Residency, and completed at least a two-year Endocrinology Fellowship, and be Board eligible/certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. Strong clinical, teaching, and interpersonal skills are required.

Job Duties: The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, seeks an Endocrinologist to join our team at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, at the rank/title of Assistant, Associate, or Professor, with tenure track or fixed term appointment. Duties include clinical care in areas of general endocrinology, diabetes, and lipid disorders in inpatient and outpatient settings; participating in an active clinical trials program; and teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. This position will also be expected to contribute to the Endocrinology Division's scholarly research efforts. The division offers a one-year Diabetes Fellowship Program for Primary Care Physicians, and a fully accredited two-year Endocrine Fellowship Program, with two fellows per year. The ECU Brody School of Medicine affiliates with Vidant Medical Center (VMC). VMC is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. VMC is the tertiary referral center for Vidant Health Group, a regional health center network serving 29 counties.
