The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesiology, with completion of a fellowship in Neurocritical Care, formal training and experience in basic and translational Neuroscience, or clinical research in a field related to acute injury in the central nervous system.. Responsibilities include both inpatient and outpatient clinical work, including attending in the NeuroIntensive Care Units at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and seeing outpatients in the Traumatic Brain Injury follow-up clinic at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Teaching of fellows, residents and medical students will also be expected through bedside rounds and through a formal didactic curriculum. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education, research, and clinical care. Candidate must be board-certified in training specialty; must have completed a UCNS-approved fellowship in Neurocritical Care; and must be board-certified or eligible in Neurocritical Care.
