Position Information: The UC Riverside Brain Game Center is seeking a full-time programming lead to aid in the development of brain training games and interactive cognitive assessments. This position will be responsible for all aspects related to implementing research-related games from design to maintenance and support. The successful candidate with possess an understanding of video game development, game design, development using C#, and C++, familiarity with Unity 3D, database and network programming. Further, the successful candidate will also be responsible for the management of programming teams, software organization, and will possess excellent communication skills to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary environment. A minimum of 2 years related work experience, and a BS in CS , or an alternative degree related to the requirements, is required. This will be a one year appointment and renewable contingent upon grant funding.

Minimum Requirements: Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
Experience with common programming tools.
Knowledge of secure software development.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications.
Knowledge of other IT related areas.
Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
Demonstrated software repository skills.
Ability to communicate in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Psychology and Neuroscience.

Knowledge and skills related to 3D Modeling.

Knowledge and skills related to graphics programming and visual effects.

Knowledge and skills related to sound design.
