Minimum Education/Experience: Candidates must possess a PhD or EdD degree in one of the department's program areas (Educational/School Administration, Educational Leadership) or related field. Qualifying degrees must be conferred and received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Job Duties: The College of Education at East Carolina University seeks applications for the position of Chairperson of the Department of Educational Leadership. Responsibilities include facilitating the development and attainment of departmental goals with a clear vision for the department's future; negotiating teaching assignments, research, and service loads for faculty; evaluating faculty and staff; managing budgets; and advocating for the department within and beyond the college and university. One-third time for this appointment will be devoted to teaching, research, and service typical of faculty scholarship. This full-time 12-month position is available July 1, 2018. Rank and salary: Associate/Full Professor; commensurate with qualifications.
