The School of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin invites nominations and applications for a tenure-track or tenured position of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Architecture beginning fall of 2018.

The position offers unique opportunities to the successful candidate to grow personally and professionally through engaging in quality studio and seminar teaching, contributing to program development and community engagement, and pursuing design-related research, intellectual inquiry, and/or innovative practice.

The successful candidate will have a terminal professional or academic degree from an accredited institution complemented by significant experience in studio teaching and/or professional practice. His or her background should show impressive capability in architectural design, as we as evidence of the ability to discover and respond to factual data and to communicate ideas generally. Their portfolio should offer evidence that the candidate could teach design effectively, direct student independent projects, and conduct scholarly research and/or design practice at a level that promises or has attained national and international recognition.

The successful candidate will be expected to help lead the school's engagement in the use of digital tools in the design process and might demonstrate strengths in computational design, performative assessment and/or advanced production and fabrication through innovative digital techniques.
