The Academic Employee Relations Analyst, provides high level professional and analytical support to the campus in the areas of academic personnel policy (related to represented and non-senate academics), academic contract administration, academic labor relations, conflict of commitment for academics, and other areas as assigned. The Academic Employee Relations Analyst is responsible for advising the campus at-large regarding academic personnel policy implementation as it relates to represented and non-senate academics. This position will participate in collective bargaining at the system-wide level, interpret collective bargaining agreements and University Policies and be the System-Wide Academic Personnel designee on these topics. The Academic Employee Relations Analyst will develop campus procedures, training and implementation procedures for non-represented academics, and serve as the subject matter expert in Academic Personnel for represented academics. This position will provide on-going guidance within the portfolio to the campus.

Minimum Requirements
Sensitivity to the diverse perspectives and political circumstances within all levels of the organization, as well as Office of the President and various external institutions and agencies.
Creativity and flexibility in approaching unique problems, as well as an understanding of the wider organization and university context in which these problems must be addressed.
Ability to communicate complex information effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences throughout the organizational community.
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, tact, and planning skills.
Ability to analyze highly sensitive and complex management issues; develop project scope and solutions; provide professional advice to organization executives and other senior officials; make critical decisions and effective recommendations.
In-depth knowledge of trends in academia, especially in areas of academic planning, human resource management and administration.

Preferred Qualifications
Thorough and broad knowledge of organization and college goals, priorities, and values, and the legal and human implications of decisions.

Expert knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply systemwide and organization policies and procedures which govern academic HR.
