Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics

Job description

The Department of Physics at Albion College invites applications for a one-year visiting position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2018.  Teaching is central to the College’s mission and includes a teaching load of three courses per semester. The department values mentorship of students through teaching, advising, and faculty-student research.    


  • The position requires completion of a Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or other appropriate sub-discipline by the time of appointment.  ABD candidates will be considered. 
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Physics courses and laboratories at both the introductory and advanced levels is required, with emphasis on courses in Astronomy.
