Duties: A position is available from March 2018 for a motivated and detail oriented individual looking for a position as an entry level research specialist. The position is part of a newly established lab in the Microbiology Department in the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM). The main responsibilities of the position will be maintenance of a mouse colony, ordering of consumables, and molecular biology experiments. Technologies employed include genotyping by PCR and next-generation sequencing of DNA and RNA. In addition to performing experiments and ordering consumables, the applicant will participate in lab meetings, literature research, molecular biology experiments, and general lab duties.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. The candidate must be capable of maintaining articulate documentation of daily tasks and possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
