Duties: The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology and the Institute for Regenerative Medicine (IRM) is seeking an Administrative Assistant. This position will perform a broad range of administrative functions to support and promote Dr. Zaret and his role as Director of the IRM and as a leader in an initiative for detecting early pancreatic cancer. This position will be primarily responsible for the administrative needs of Dr. Zaret, his lab, staff and students. This person must be able to work independently yet be highly collegial and professional. Duties include but are not limited to setting up meetings, managing a calendar, organizing travel and reimbursement, editing and preparation of materials for grants and manuscripts, ordering supplies, and support for the CDB department and IRM as needed. Occasional nights and weekends will be required, as well as contact after regular business hours.

Qualifications: The minimum of a High School diploma or GED and 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Coursework beyond High School is a plus. Significant experience in administrative support is strongly preferred for supporting a busy office with lots of travel. The position requires excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Experience with Microsoft Office, BEN Financials, and Concur is also preferred.
