Job description

Duties: The primary responsibility will be to accrue complete and accurate patient data on all patients seen clinically at HUP for Endocrine Surgery Disorders, including parathyroid, thyroid, adrenal and neuroendocrine tumors. Management of such a database will be required and refinement and improvement of such database will occur in association with informatics experts from the Abramson Cancer Center and University Health system. Secondary responsibilities will include assisting with patient accrual for translational research protocols, acquiring patient specimens, assisting in analysis of data with the clinical research team, and preparing and processing all IRB documentation regarding scientific projects pertaining to patients with Endocrine Surgical disorders.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience with Excel, Access, Power Point, Microsoft Word, STATA or a similar statistical package and database applications is preferred. Prior experience in clinical research and regulatory work is preferred. Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and demonstrate professionalism at all times. Some clinical trial/ clinical research experience is a plus.
