Minimum Education/Experience: Earned academic masters degree from an accredited institution by time of appointment in health informatics and information management or a related field (e.g. health administration, public health, business administration), and RHIA credential required. Communication skills necessary for effective teaching, and service.

Job Duties: The Department of Health Services and Information Management at East Carolina University is seeking applications for a twelve month, full-time, fixed term instructor position at the rank of clinical assistant professor or clinical associate professor in the area of Health Information Management. Faculty member responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses, mentoring and advising undergraduate students in research projects and/or theses. Faculty member may also participate in research projects focusing on their research interests. Other responsibilities include serving on and participating in departmental and college partnerships as well as participating at the university, community and professional levels.
