Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The mission of the Government and History Department is to provide high-quality educational programs and services in Political Science, History, Philosophy, Geography, Intelligence Studies, Professional Studies, Environmental Sustainability, and Fire and Emergency Services Administration. A major goal of the department's multi-disciplinary faculty is to help students develop key skills and foundational knowledge in the foregoing areas.
Primary Purpose of the Position:
This is a fixed term position - 1 year of employment. Teach introductory and advanced courses in Intelligence Studies, online or traditional.

Duties and Responsibilities
Teach introductory and advanced courses in Intelligence Studies, online or traditional. In addition to instruction, duties will include student career mentorship, service to the university, the profession, and academic scholarship.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
To be eligible for the Assistant Professor position, the candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies, International Relations or a closely related field. ABDs who expect to complete their doctorate before the start date are encouraged to apply. To be eligible for the Lecturer position, the candidate must hold a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies and International Relations or closely related field. Position requires experience with online education at the college level. Practitioner experience and demonstrated expertise in U.S. Intelligence Community or intelligence-related fields is highly valued

effectively, orally and in writing with peers and students; ability to work
effectively and productively with others; time management skills, and ability to
work with minimal supervision.
