Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:

The mission of the Government and History Department is to provide high-quality educational programs and services in Political Science, History, Philosophy, Geography, Intelligence Studies, Professional Studies, Environmental Sustainability, and Fire and Emergency Services Administration. A major goal of the department's multi-disciplinary faculty is to help students develop key skills and foundational knowledge in the foregoing areas.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
Teach online introductory and advanced courses in Fire and Emergency Services Administration.

Description of Work Continued:
Duties and Responsibilities

Teach online introductory and advanced courses in Fire and Emergency Services Administration. In addition to instruction, duties will include student career mentorship, service to the university, the profession, and academic scholarship.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
To be eligible for the Assistant Professor position, the candidate must hold a Ph.D in Fire and Emergency Services Administration, Public Administration or a closely related field. ABDs who expect to complete their doctorate before the start date are encouraged to apply. To be eligible for the Lecturer position, the candidate must hold a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Fire and Emergency Services Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
