Data Analyst/Systems Developer

Position Description: Provides application programming and database support for the Office of Institutional Research and Analysis. Supports query and report writing activities of the office by extracting data from a variety of systems and sources; by setting up systems for data entry, capture or processing; by improving and maintaining Institutional Research's data warehouse; and by providing database system support. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in educational research, a social science or related field and two years related work experience. Demonstrated analytical skills in researching and interpreting data. Experience utilizing major enterprise administrative systems. Experience in programming on relational databases. Experience with database development. Knowledgeable relative to program logic, data analysis, and data structure design. Experience writing in SQL or access databases. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum five years related work experience. Experience working with PeopleSoft administrative systems, Tableau visualization software, web-based applications, and SPSS or SAS. Experience with eXplorance Blue or other online evaluation/survey software.
