Essential functions of this position:
Coordinate the day-to-day functions of assigned sports programs, plan and organize activities, communicate program policy and procedures, establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external university constituents including coaches, staff, officials and vendors.
Oversee assigned athletic facilities for upkeep and maintenance and ensure facility is prepared and ready for competition and spectator use. Identify, understand and problem solve issues in assigned areas. Supervise and manage student workers and various temp employees. Serve as the main program contact and game day manager for men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s basketball, and softball. Responsible for ensuring event operations for all UNCW athletic events meet set expectations.

N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in college athletics
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to communicate effectively with all constituents of UNCW Athletics
Must show teamwork, efficient time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced working environment

Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Prior relevant working experience in Division I athletic programs
Experience with athletics facilities and event management
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations concerning athletic programs
Experience with electronic work order programs

Recruitment Range: $33,659 - $36,000
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 63
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Varies based on Athletic Events
Work Hours: Varies based on Athletic Events, can work days, evenings and weekends as required.
