Essential functions of this position:
Administer all financial aid programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules, regulations, and requirements. Advise, counsel, and educate students, prospective students, and their respective family members as it relates to their financial eligibility.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Must be proficient in Banner, Image Now, CPS, NSLDS, CFI, COD, IFAP and other necessary programs and websites to effectively administer federal, state and institutional financial aid
Able to use telephone monitoring system, desktop computer, Who’s Next, Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), fax, and other equipment/software, as appropriate
Must be able to maneuver smoothly between systems in an efficient and effective manner
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Should have knowledge of the federal, state and institutional requirements concerning financial aid
Skills should include excellent interpersonal skills, crisis management, and the ability to communicate well
Recruitment Range: $38,064 - $40,075
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 67
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
