ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF EDUCATION – TENURE TRACK
(Elementary STEM emphasis)

The Department of Education at The University of Tulsa seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level for the academic year 2018-2019 beginning August 2018.

The person hired for this position will teach undergraduate courses in elementary math methods, elementary science methods, and other foundational courses in the elementary education program. The new hire also will have the opportunity to develop courses and field experience in elementary STEM education in collaboration with other university faculty and community partners. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an active research agenda related to elementary STEM education, advising students, and participating in department and university service.
Earned Doctorate in Elementary Education or a closely related field; elementary teaching experience; teaching and/or research experience in elementary STEM; evidence of an active research agenda
Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds; evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate level; knowledge of and experience integrating the STEM disciplines; experience collaborating with K-12 educators and schools
