Duties: The Assistant Dean for Student Services oversees a comprehensive program that addresses the needs of all students in the Graduate School of Education (GSE) while valuing the complex and diverse nature of the school's programs and its students. The goal of this position is to strategically build a Student Services Office that is streamlined and has systems and policies in place to ensure that execution and implementation of programming can be handled with limited resources but ensures fairness and equity for all students. To address students' academic needs, co-curricular opportunities, and professional growth, this position serves as the liaison between the university and school and advocates on behalf of students to school leadership. By leveraging school- and university-wide resources, the leader of the Office of Student Services (OSS) works in collaboration with a student affairs coordinator, a graduate assistant, a diversity and inclusion fellow, a CAPS associate, and other individuals to plan and implement programming that enhances student development and the student experience. In addition, OSS plans and executes GSE's major milestone events including Orientation and Commencement.

Qualifications: Highly advanced professional discipline. M.D., Ph. D., Law degree or equivalent doctoral degree and 7 years to 10 years of experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
