Position Summary: *THE HR INFORMATION MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT IS RECRUITING FOR 2 HR BUSINESS ANALYST POSITIONS. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY APPLIED TO THIS VACANCY YOU ARE STILL UNDER CONSIDERATION AND DO NOT NEED TO REAPPLY.* The HR Information Management Department is a subset of the Workforce Strategy Equity Engagement (WSEE) division and works collaboratively with HR managers, HR staff, Information Technology Services, other central offices, and customers to provide analysis and specification of departmental information processing requirements, design, configuration, unit testing, customer acceptance testing and support for enterprise HR applications, development of small to medium scale departmental databases, and a variety of compliance and management information-related reporting and analysis. The PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation of ConnectCarolina provides systems that support Human Resources, Benefits, Learning Management and Payroll activities. The HR Information Management team is responsible for the ongoing functional support of the PeopleSoft modules and related applications including reporting and data analytics, applying bundles and patches, retrofitting customizations, supporting interfaces to 3rd party systems and implementing changes and enhancements requested to support new or changed business processes. The primary purpose of the position is to provide post-implementation support to assist with the Human Resources / Benefits / Payroll portion of UNC Chapel Hill's PeopleSoft HCM implementation, including business analysis, support and development for PeopleSoft and related HR/Benefits/Payroll 3rd party systems. The incumbent will provide functional support for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to post go-live support and report development. The position incumbent has routine and ongoing contact with a wide variety of campus users and ITS technical staff and must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Qualification and Experience: - 1-3 years experience as a business analyst, preferably in a Higher Education Environment - 1-3 years experience with reporting or data analysis, preferably in Human Resources, Payroll or Benefits - 1-3 years experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP system - Experience in SQL programming or PeopleSoft Query is preferred
