Advertised Job Summary: Law Enforcement Officer I, Minimum Salary - $29,687 Per Year/Salary commensurate with experience/education Officer will provide law enforcement, security and protection for the campus. Duty hours include nights and weekends. High school diploma required. One year experience in public safey/law enforcement preferred. Must be 21 years of age, be physically qualified and have no criminal record. Must pass a background investigation, complete the SC Criminal Justice Academy and be certified by the SC Law Enforcement Training Council before assuming police duties. Must receive certification as a Medical First Responder. All applicants must be a current resident of SC and have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle. This position will require that the successful candidate pass a pre-employment alcohol and drug test as well as be subject to random, post incident /accident, reasonable suspicion and rehabilitation monitoring drug and alcohol testing consistent with USC HR Policy 1.95, Drug and Alcohol Testing.
