Research Scientist in Experimental Plasma Physics

Position Summary

The Plasma Physics and Fusion Science (PPFS) group in the Applied Science department at The College of William and Mary invites applications for a research scientist position, starting Spring 2018. The researcher will be an integral part of DIII-D experimental research team. The position is to be involved in experiments, analysis with regards to transport in the pedestal and plasma-edge region. the position will be based at General Atomics (La Jolla, CA.)

Required Qualifications

An ideal candidate must have a Ph.D in Plasma Physics or related field by the time of appointment. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background in experimental plasma physics related to transport and/or pedestal dynamics.
