Job Summary/Description

Teach lower division mathematics classes, which may include students at the developmental level.

Typical Duties/Job Duties

Teach thirty hours of developmental and lower-division mathematics classes each academic year to potentially include late afternoon or evening classes. Engage in customary departmental activities and university service.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The successful applicant will possess strong communication and organizational skills and a desire to develop innovative learning experiences. Candidates should be dedicated to excellence in teaching, with a strong commitment to high professional standards, both in and outside the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in mathematics or a related field; or a Master’s degree with at least 18 hours of graduate-level mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications

Mathematics teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level is preferred.
