Primary Function of Organization Unit: ClassTech is a unit of the Office of Technology that supports installed technology in over 230 spaces on campus. Installed technology includes projectors, document cameras, computers, laptop connections, touch panels and in some cases classroom capture devices.

Essential Job Duties: The ClassTech Developer leads the design, testing, documentation and deployment of comprehensive A/V program/control solutions. Responsibilities include: * Develop and implement test cases/scenarios that thoroughly tests A/V program code prior to push to production. * Review current codebase to identify areas where performance, sustainability, or stability gains can be made, and make adjustments via change management process. * Engage in regular assessments of currently deployed A/V systems and code, in an effort to continually improve the service. * Work with campus partners to develop A/V programming standards to meet campus needs. * Develop web applications (Asset Management, A/V Control System Automation, Event Monitoring, Dispatch System, Room Check Systems) that support, and manage, the A/V enterprise infrastructure. * Development within programming frameworks (Bootstrap, jQuery) deployed by ClassTech to support clients, support staff, and the A/V infrastructure. Expertise in Php, Javascript, HTML5, MySQL. * Develop and implement test cases/scenarios that thoroughly tests code for new and existing web applications developed by ClassTech. * Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate version control systems (version labeling and business continuity - GIT, etc.). * Create, update and maintain documentation of code and programming. * Serve as the SysAdmin for ClassTech's deployed Crestron Fusion Server.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Department Required Skills: Good understanding of various A/V signaling methodologies and technologies (HDBaseT, HDCP, etc.) to ensure programming meets industry/department standards and requirements. Requires good communication skills, both written and verbal. Must demonstrate the ability to work within a team environment. Ability to work independently on tasks, develop own work schedule and monitor progress against defined parameters. Experience leading AV related projects. Experience with room control systems, installing and troubleshooting a variety of multimedia equipment including data projectors, document cameras, video cameras, and audio systems.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: At least one year of Crestron Programing (Toolbox, SIMPL Windows, VT-Pro-E, SIMPL+) experience in a higher education environment. At least one year of A/V field integration, and troubleshooting. At least one year of web application development utilizing, but not limited to, the following languages: Php, Javascript, HTML5, MySQL. Experience working within software version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.). Experience in network troubleshooting tools similar to Wireshark.

Necessary Licenses and Certifications: This position requires a valid driver's license. The license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
