Position Summary: Governors State Universitya€™s College of Arts and Sciences is creating an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in the Interdisciplinary Studies program. The Courses in this program are for undergraduate students. We are particularly interested in adjunct faculty to teach elective courses on Saturdays and online courses. Interested individuals are invited to complete a faculty profile, attach a cover letter, curriculum vitae, transcripts, and a list of references or letters of recommendation for consideration. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.

Minimum Qualifications: A Mastera€™s degree in social science, humanities, communications or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience teaching adults students at the collegiate level and/or teaching online. Doctoral candidates are encouraged to apply.

Work Schedule: Varies depending on course offering.
