Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Department of Business Management in the Poole College of Management houses faculty specializing in areas of marketing, finance, operations and supply chain management, and information technology. Faculty work closely with our centers and initiatives, including the Consumer Innovation Collaborative and the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative. The Poole College of Management at NC State University actively engages with industry and academia to create an innovative and collaborative intellectual environment that fosters learning, scholarship and service. We focus on developing and supporting leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset and analytical problem solving capabilities to positively impact our data-rich, dynamic, global economy. The Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) is a unique industry-university partnership dedicated to advancing the supply chain industry and the professionalism of its practitioners. It is one of seven centers or initiatives housed within the Poole College of Management. Centers endeavor to cross disciplines and merge complementary fields of exploration that may exist in different departments, but that when joined in partnership, serve to advance knowledge in directions not previously envisioned.

Essential Job Duties: The Department of Business Management is seeking a full-time Lecturer to teach supply chain management and operations at the undergraduate and graduate level. Courses are delivered either online, in a traditional classroom setting, or as a project-based course. The teaching load is three to four sections per semester. Optional summer teaching may also be available for additional compensation.

Minimum Education/Experience: Master's degree in business, operations or supply chain management or a related field and significant work experience in operations or supply chain management.

Department Required Skills: Significant knowledge and work experience in supply chain management and operations management are required. Strong commitment to excellence in teaching expected.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: An MBA and significant operations and supply chain management experience is desirable. Also desirable is evidence of high-quality teaching through, for example, teaching evaluations and letters of recommendations. Previous teaching experience in online courses is also preferred.
