Job description

Duties: This position is responsible for managing the planning, start-up, operational activities, analysis and performance of the Graduate Prosthodontics Program in partnership with the Assistant Professor of Clinical Restorative Dentistry and Founding Director, Advanced Specialty Education Program in Prosthodontics. The manager will be responsible for implementing and leading multiple dental management programs with Group Leaders and Administrative Directors. The manager must have demonstrated experience and understanding of quality improvement methods, measurement processes, as well as leadership and communication skills necessary to manage collaborative efforts across a wide spectrum of dental services. Duties include budget development and monitoring, and program planning, implementation and monitoring, and utilizing data to inform quality improvement processes including interfacing with patients, students and faculty. The manager will organize, compile and analyze data on student progress and work independently exercising discretion and judgment to grow, develop and mature the Graduate Prosthodontics Program. Special projects as assigned and may involve weekends based on academic, program or student requirements.

Qualifications: Bachelor's in a related health care field. Comparable education and experience in similar fields will also be considered. Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, other languages a plus. Ability to work with diverse stakeholders of students, staff, faculty, visitors and program staff. Willingness and interest in development, implementation and growth of Prosthodontics program and ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment and creativity in a changing environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related business software. Effective presentation, written and verbal communication skills, with individuals as well as small and large groups. Ability to build and support team relationships within the program, provide clear and concise expectations for staff, provide necessary guidelines to maintain a professional and supportive working environment. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain an environment of consistency, accountability, including problem solving skills. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Willing to work non-traditional hours to meet program development needs.
