Minimum Education/Experience: All candidates must have clinical experience as a clinical nurse specialist and have national certification as a CNS. Ideal candidates for tenure-track/tenured positions must hold a PhD in nursing or closely related discipline with a master's degree in nursing. Fixed-term faculty must hold at least an MSN in nursing. Qualifying degrees must be obtained from appropriately accredited institutions.

Job Duties: The East Carolina University College of Nursing is currently seeking applications for a faculty position in the Masters of Nursing Science (MSN), adult/gerontology clinical nurse specialist concentration. This position would serve as the concentration director of the Adult/Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist program. Candidates may be considered for a 12-month full-time fixed-term, tenure-track or tenured position at a title/rank commiserate with education and experiences. This concentration is taught on-line and in a distance-education environment. Responsibilities may include: teaching courses in the Master's core and concentration-specific (adult/gerontology clinical nurse specialist) program, academic advising, development and evaluation of relevant courses, coordination and collaboration with clinical practicum preceptors, participation as a full-time faculty member including attendance at faculty meetings and participation in committees/task forces. Tenure-track and tenured faculty will maintain an active program of research and scholarly activities and may participate in PhD dissertations and/or DNP scholarly projects.
