Job Duties: The East Carolina University College of Nursing is looking for a Public Communications Specialist to serve as a Recruiter for the College of Nursing. The primary purpose of this position is to manage and direct all recruiting efforts of the College of Nursing. This role serves as the College of Nursing representative for internal and external projects requiring communication coordination and recruitment. This position provides leadership in developing and designing recruitment materials including displays and gratis items. This person is also responsible for managing the recruitment budget including purchasing gratis items and travel. The person in this position is the first point of contact with potential students. This person is responsible for representing the College of Nursing with both written and verbal communication skills. Presentations to large groups, meeting with prospective undergraduate and graduate students, parents and other community members is a large part of this position. This position is responsible for and in coordination with the marketing office developing written recruitment materials, updating websites and other avenues of recruitment communication.
