The Board of Trustees of Brookdale Community College invites applications and nominations for the position of President. A two-year, public, co-educational institution located in Lincroft, New Jersey, Brookdale Community College is an open-access, futureĀ­ oriented college committed to student success in a socially diverse environment. Brookdale provides a comprehensive array of quality, affordable educational choices leading to transfer and career opportunities, certificates and associate degrees.  The College also offers expanded access to post-associate degree learning at the baccalaureate and graduate levels through onsite university partnerships and joint admission agreements.  In addition, Brookdale has become a state leader in the number of early college high school programs and was recently ranked 13th in the country for online programs.    


Brookdale enrolls over 12,500 students in approximately 75 associate degree options and certificate programs as well as community and business development and adult basic education programs. Brookdale awards associate degrees in four areas (Arts, Science, Applied  Science,  Fine_ Arts)  in  addition  to  Academic  Credit  Certificates  and  Academic Credit Certificates of Achievement. In addition to the main campus in Lincroft, there are two branch campuses, 3 regional locations, and 2 additional locations.


The President is Brookdale's chief executive officer and reports directly to the Board of Trustees. The College seeks a president who is an ethical, visionary and collaborative leader and who is passionate about the Brookdale mission, a relationship builder, and adept at navigating the peculiarities of academia in a unionized environment.  The successful candidate will have either an earned doctorate with a record of success at a high level in an academic institution or will be an outstanding, proven leader with appropriate credentials and a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership, at least 5 years of which must be at an executive or equivalent level.  Experience to be considered will include, but is not limited to, higher education, leadership skills, financial management, fundraising, and community relations.
