JOB SUMMARY:

Provide statewide leadership for 4-H/youth livestock, forage, and Agriculture program development. Serve as a content expert/Extension Specialist for Extension/4-H Agents.
JOB DUTIES:

Serve as an Extension Specialist in the area of Livestock and Forage programming for youth and adult audiences. Provide leadership for the overall youth livestock program in the state of South Carolina. 60% E

Provide educational leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of county, regional, and statewide 4-H educational curriculum, focusing agriculture, livestock, and forages. 20% E

Coordinate fundraising efforts for statewide youth livestock programs, and assist with other statewide 4-H fundraising efforts. 10% E

Assist with various capacities as needed by the State 4-H Directors Office in support of the overall mission and participate in state, regional, and national organizations, societies and committees for professional improvement and as a representative of Clemson University. 10% E
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - PhD in Agriculture, Ag Ed, Extension Education Natural Resources, or closely related discipline required. Knowledge of 4_H and youth development programs
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acts as Lead - Acts as a Lead by guiding the work of others who perform essentially the same work.

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
