The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for a Full Professor position in the tenure track. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research.

The successful applicant will have substantial experience in the field of Pediatrics with a focus on Emergency Medicine. We seek candidates with specific expertise in injury prevention and biomechanics and an existing research portfolio in pediatric injury science with evidence of ability to consistently secure external funding, conduct high quality rigorous research, and mentor trainees in injury science. This individual would serve as a key faculty member in the Center for Injury Research and Prevention (CIRP) – a Center of Emphasis at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute, contributing to their research portfolio in areas including road traffic safety, concussion and sports injury science, and injury care and recovery. Opportunities for leadership within CIRP exist depending on previous experience.
