JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as Annual Giving Officer. Raises annual support for Clemson University academic programs, primarily focusing on higher-end annual gifts and multi-year commitments from alumni and friends of the University. Emphasizes recurring support, increasing average gift size, increasing overall alumni participation rate, and enhancing unrestricted gifts. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

45% - Essential - Gift Development: Solicits recurring annual gifts to the Clemson Forever Fund through personal visits, phone calls, and other contacts with alumni and friends. Develops relationships and solicitation strategies for gift renewals and augmentation. Manages portfolio of annual gift prospects and donors. Contacts or visits a designated number of prospects or donors monthly. Secures multi-year annual gift commitments and encourages endowment support.

30% - Essential - Outreach: Identifies and cultivates relationships with non-participating Alumni and Friends with emphasis on potential Clemson Forever Fund Major Gift Club-level prospects. Educates non-donors regarding impact of Clemson Forever Fund through participation in alumni and University activities promoting annual giving support.

15% - Essential - Program Maintenance: Develops and implements strategies and solicitation initiatives to accomplish Annual Giving and participation goals.

10% - Essential - Donor Development: Collaborates with Development and Alumni Relations partners to develop and produce donor appreciation materials and special events for annual gift donors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and related experience in an area such as alumni development, fundraising, prospect research, or business development.
