Advertised Job Summary: Responsible for all USC Upstate Mail Services administration including parcel post, express mail, intercampus, and intracampus mail and package receipt and delivery. - Manage and maintain schedule for postal center. Coordinate all activities between USC Upstate and U.S. Postal Service maintaining and interpreting manuals needed to properly process domestic and international mailings. Communicate with departmental offices all changes in regulations that may affect their operations. Coordinate activities between USC Upstate Mail Services and contract vendor on pick-up and delivery services. - Provide administrative support for all USC Upstate postal and package services to include receiving, sorting and distribution/ delivery of incoming intercampus mail and process outgoing mail. Provide support for resident student mail. Employ, train and supervise staff in the proper handling, distribution, processing and security of all mail and work area. - Maintain postage software. - Provide support in regard to on-site U.S. postage stamp sales. - Responsible for data analysis of daily and monthly charges to all USC Upstate departmental accounts for postal cost assuring accountability for postage used. Generate and maintain daily and monthly reports for backup. - Monitor University permit accounts through U.S. Postal Services.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 1 year related experience in postal, courier or delivery operations or high school diploma and 5 years of related experience. Good driving record, valid South Carolina drivers license, and successful background check are required.
