St. Michael's Hospital Department of Medicine is seeking a qualified full-time academic neurologist with additional expertise in the treatment of multiple sclerosis. The successful candidate must be eligible for a Full-time Clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. This position will support the large patient demands in the multiple sclerosis program, in addition to supporting the general neurology program at St. Michael's Hospital. The candidate will have an academic position description of Clinician Teacher. The expected start date of the position is July 1, 2018, or shortly thereafter.
The successful candidate will hold an MD degree and should have, or be eligible for, both certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The successful candidate will also have advanced fellowship training in multiple sclerosis (MS). In addition, the successful candidate will participate fully in the educational programs in neurology at St. Michael's Hospital and the University of Toronto and collaborate in clinical research programs. St. Michael's Division of Neurology currently consists of 13 full time neurologists and has a robust MS research program as well as expertise in stroke and movement disorders.
